Who is Lord Krishna? Lord Krishna is the eight incarnation or avatar or Lord Vishnu (Maha Vishnu). He is one of the most popular Gods in Hinduism. He is considered as the supreme deity, worshipped across many traditions of Hinduism in a variety of different perspectives. He is the God of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love. Krishna's birthday is celebrated every year by Hindus on Krishna Janmashtami that is according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar, which falls in late August or early September of the Gregorian calendar. Each incarnation of Lord Vishnu on the Earth is with a purpose.
